Overview
University Family Care is a health plan for AHCCCS and KidsCare members. AHCCCS
is Arizona’s Medicaid program and KidsCare is Arizona's health insurance for children
under 19. University Family Care has been serving members with respect, dignity
and compassion since 1983.
University Physicians Health Plans (UPHP) operates University Family Care. UPHP
also administers University Physicians Healthcare Group, a state sponsored health
plan for small businesses, and manages Maricopa Health Plan for the Maricopa Integrated
Health System. UPHP is a division of University Physicians Healthcare (UPH), a non-profit
company.
In addition to the Health Plans, UPH is the practice group for the University of
Arizona College of Medicine faculty. UPH is one of the largest medical group practices
in Arizona, with seventeen clinics in southern Arizona providing both primary care
and a wide range of specialty care services. In addition, UPH operates University
Physicians Hospital at Kino and has several clinical practice sites in Tucson supplying
subspecialty services to Maricopa County.
Our Providers
University Family Care members have access to a large and strong provider network
that includes, but is not limited to, the faculty practice of University Physicians
Healthcare (UPH). UPH is the largest group medical practice in Arizona, with seventeen
clinics in southern Arizona providing both primary care and a wide range of specialty
care services. Many UPH physicians are leaders in their fields, both in clinical
medicine and research. UPH is a highly visible and well-regarded contributor to
the Arizona healthcare and business community.
